I'm Aleyna, and I almost didn't buy the dress that changed everything.

Standing in that boutique, holding a beautiful terracotta sundress, I heard that familiar voice: "Where would you even wear this? Be realistic."

I'd been choosing practical over joyful for so long. But that day, I bought it anyway.

When my seven-year-old saw me, she said, "Mama, you look like sunshine!"
